Months: With proper anticoagulation, it can be faster. Bt therapy usually for six months. Depends on extent and complete obstruction. Some early are lysed and resolve earlier.

DVT resolution: It depends how extensive the clot is and in how many veins. Also depends on perfect anticoagulant control, compression, walking. Figure about 3 to 6 months. Treatment may last longer.

Duration of DVT.: The duration of DVT depends on many factors-the extent of the clot and the veins involved.Larger veins involved and more extensive clots will take longer to resolve. About one third of clots will fully dissolve, one third will cause long term vein blockage and one third will narrow the vein and new veins will form around the narrow vein.rThe usual duration of DVT ranges from 3 months to one year.
