I have elevation in optic disc in left eye. lab work all fine, no evidence of optic neuritis. ct scan ok, but asymmetry in the discs. mri due in 6 weeks' time as precaution and follow-up appointment in 8 months. what could this be?

Runs is family? Ask around. Otherwise based on you physical exam (BP taken in both arms so high blood pressure not missed eg. Could just be you. Follow local Drs advice and get a second opinion. I would be suprized if CT showed discs???
