I am glad you have asked this question. Cats and dogs have been a part of normal family life for thousands of years, without there being an awareness of any untoward complications from the symbiotic relationship. Now we have all these fears about the infections and diseases they can bring into the home. Answer - keep your home and your pets and yourselves clean, and stop worrying.

Tracking dirt in from the outside, regardless of who is doing it, will not give your cats Toxoplasmosis. In addition, normal care and hand cleaning when dealing with the cat litter will further protect you from any remaining remote risk.
