Palpitations for years. sometimes bad, sometimes none. 100+ ecg tracings. 2x echo scans. 2x 24 hour monitor. all normal. dr said likely just ectopics. palpitations bad tonight. strong&often. what if dangerous and deadly now? or they missed something?

The question is-did you have these palpitations when you had the 24 hour monitors on? If the answer is yes, then likely nothing to worry about. But, if the answer is no, then the monitor needs to be repeated until you have the palpitations while being monitored. Only then will you know for sure what the palpitations represent. So, see a cardiologist if the monitor needs repeating. Good luck!

Besides heart palpitations you have not had any other symptoms such as syncope or fainting, dyspnea, chest pain, etc. so I doubt if you have life threatening arrhythmia. However, for a complete assurance you may need a loop recorder for long term monitoring and see a electrophysiologist (EP cardiologist) if possible. Take care.
