Both males and females can develop this while going through puberty and is called a breast bud. In females, a breast will develop after this goes away. In males, it just goes away. Warm compresses and trying not to touch it too much may help with the discomfort. If there is redness or discharge or it’s worsening, please have him see his doctor.
