Is flying safe with small fat containing umbilical hernia?

The pressurized cabin of your regular commercial aircraft re-creates the same environment you have at ground level. I would not consider the cited defect any reason not to fly in that setting.

Commercial airliners are pressurized to an altitude of about 8000 feet. An umbilical hernia should be no reason to avoid flying. Good luck.
