Hi my 3.5 year old has a lingering wet cough in the morning and night - cold stoped long ago.what can i give her - she always has a phlegmy couch that lasts more than 2 weeks and has had a chest infection in the past. no fever or other symptoms now?

Several options: A lingering cough after a cold can sometimes mean wheezing is present - Dr exam needed to be sure. But if phlegm present an antihistamine like diphenhydramine @ night or cetirizine can help cough. Good hydration with fluids also helps. Definitely call Dr if fever or shortness of breath occurs
