My 10yr old has been coughing for 2 weeks now. ran a 101 fever today. the cough sounds bad and she complains about her chest hurting & being tired.

Time to see doctor: Prolonged coughs can be worrisome, and one would need to be evaluated to see if there are asthma symptoms or perhaps pneumonia. When there is a new fever, and the cough "sounds bad", especially with "chest hurting", pneumonia needs to be checked for. If one's doctor is not available in such a situation, a children's Urgent Care or an Emergency Room can help.
