Ortho onc ordered xr femur based on proximal femur tumor found on mri pelvis. lytic lesion w/ill defined margins 2.3x7.7cm filling most of medullary cavity, no periosteal reaction, cortex intact. rad cant id type. whats the chance of malignancy?

If the radiologist couldn't make his (her) impression based on the MRI of the pelvis and plain X-ray of the femur, no way can we offer of any help, especially we do not know your medical history. Please patiently wait for the follow up appt with your orthopedic oncologist. Good luck.
