I had oral sex 14years ago,i havent tested at that time.now i can recall some symptoms of sphylis in past.after 14years (ie now) rpr,tpha,fta abs,2 times each,all test are nonreactive and negative.is treponemal test conclusive after 14 years?

See previous reply. The answers won't change. And yes, the treponemal tests are conclusive; once someone has syphilis, the tests remain positive for life, with or without treatment. Trust the results and move on.

Does a non-tppa test tell if you active infection or just antibodies? Like an RPR Quantitative? Is a treponema test more accurate to determine if infection is active? Can RPR Titer fluctuation occur in treated patients with HIV?
