It is best discussed with the GP that is treating you; however the risk of cancer at age 26 years old with no previous family history of breast cancer is very low. The parameters to look at is if the lump has gone down with the antibiotics and if significantly then you may want to wait for a few weeks to allow further resolution of the inflammation that caused the abcess if it was truly the cause.
