Hip muscle spasms are usually positional/postural. Most of the time it depends on the way one sits or lies down. Best to avoid the postures that cause/worsen the spasm. Warm water compress with/without Epson salt, Muscle release exercises and appropriate stretches can help. At 27 years the Local Gym Center can teach One the best exercises/postures for sitting or lying down in different surfaces.

If a limb length difference or pelvic rotation or both can cause these type of symptoms with walking/running, standing. A podiatrist trained in biomechanics can help with custom orthotics and lift therapy. Muscle stretch/strengthening is important.
