Hi, had appendectomy 2 years ago and have had constant bloat since then. my gastroenterologist said that gut flora restoration is impossible post append. and i will be bloated my whole life. is this true? are there supplements that can aid the bloat?

There are supplements to help replenish the gut flora. Your pharmacist can recommend products that can do this called probiotics. There are different brands but they all do the same thing. It does take time to replenish the gut flora so you need to be patient. A GI doctor can also advise you on this process. Good luck to you!

You might consider another possibility a fecal transplant, where they give you a special type, medically safe feces from another person. This is rarely necessary, however
