I coughed up blood 3months ago for 6 days and it stopped and then it happened in a month for 6 days again im 37yr old male and feel fine otherwise no other symptoms.i quit smoking 10months ago. can you pinpoint the cause and can i cure this at home?

Bronchitis is a common cause of bloody sputum however there are more serious causes that if diagnosed early give better outcome like cancer and tuberculosis and none of that could be taken care of at home. The smoking history predisposes you to chronic inflammation like bronchitis and also to infections and cancer. If you smoked heavily, it is best to be evaluated as soon as possible to make sure.

Repeat coughing out of Blood even if one has quite smoking, needs evaluation as there are many other causes of blood coughing out. A PCP visit with Pulmonary Consult evaluation seem appropriate at this point.
