A member asked:

I am a 25 year old male with a head bob that matches my heart beat. when my hear beat increases, it has greater intensity. it isn't noticeable to others. it would be rare, but is it likely to be a de musset sign? what is the most likely answer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Head bobbing secondary to aortic insufficiency has been termed de Musset's sign but would be skeptical that at the age of 25 yrs, this would be a likely diagnosis. More statistically possible would be heredofamilial essential tremor. See your doctor and discuss if it is reasonable to see a cardiologist or neurologist.
