Tube may be plugged: Sometime pe (pressure equalization) tubes fail. When they do return of symptoms is common. Also, pe tubes can be expected to remain in the ear drum for months to years, depending on the type. He should be reevaluated by his ENT doctor.

Gave Ciprodex otic (ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone) ear drops to child & she claimed it got into her mouth (maybe draining from Eustachian tube) did not see it get in mouth. HARMFUL??
