I have a month old perirectal incision that left a small hard lump. a few days ago it had the feeling of cracked irritated skin and bled a very small amount when cleaned. i have been using mupirocin and neosporin with a bandage. what is causing that?

This may have been a postop hematoma ( blood clot) under the skin. It doesn't have characteristics of an infection. A proctologist or colorectal surgeon are best to evaluate and advise you about your wound care as needed.
