Your mom had gestational diabetes when she had you and that clinical event has no causal relationship to your current endocrinologic problem. You postprandial blood sugar is NORMAL and I am not sure why you think you have type 1 diabetes mellitus and what the symptoms are. To diagnose diabetes you either have fasting blood sugar, FBS, above 125 x 2 times or one FBS of 125 and HbA1c above 6.4.
