It is not uncommon for a stomach virus to continue for at least 72 hours. But, it should be starting to feel better. You should see your doctor if it is not feeling better over the next couple of days since many other things can cause these symptoms. Good luck to you!

Yes, viral gastroenteritis can last longer than 72 hours. If your symptoms persist longer than 5 to 7 days, see your doctor. If you’re having diarrhea, be sure to avoid dehydration by drinking lots of liquid. Good luck.
