A member asked:

Is a high hr normal with a stomach virus? resting typically in 70s. was very sick yesterday (no fever) with nausea and vomiting and it was around 100-110bpm all day lying down. went back down today and i feel better, but wondering if this is typical?

The viral infection as such with the dehydration produced by the vomiting probably led to increased heart rate. Hope you didn't have diarrhea also as viral gastroenteritis is common with vomiting and diarrhea.
