I have a friend whos had a uti for multiple months. she does not want to see a doctor, and when she fasts (religious reasons) and drinks water after breaking fast, the uti begins to flare again. is there anything she can do herself?

The self diagnosis of UTI can be wrong as many other conditions can have similar symptoms. She can start drinking extra water, keep vaginal area clean not hold urine for long and avoid constipation. If symptoms recur or she is not better with this she will have tp see a Urologist otherwise she will continue to suffer and may do harm to her health. Wish her well
