It depends...: UTIs are not effectively treated by cranberries, garlic, or increased fluids. Symptoms may be improved on account of drinking lots of water, and UTI's can clear up pretty quickly on their own. Other problems (e.g. certain STDs) can cause symptoms similar to UTI. See a doctor if the symptoms return or if you remain uncertain, or if you think you may be at risk for STD.
