A member asked:

I have pulsatile tinnitus i have it 24/7 i have had every test. cta, ctv, mri, mrv and angiogram. things they found were subtle fibromuscular dysplasia and subtle hole in super circular canal. can some people have pulsatile tinnitus for no reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Since pulsatile tinnitus can be formed by abnormalities of arteries or veins especially near the ear and in view of the fact that fibromuscular dysplasia is present, I recommend consulting a vascular surgeon for evaluation & advice. Do you have hypertension? Fibomuscular dysplasia involving the kidney arteries is a cause of high blood pressure. If you have FMD in one area you can have it elsewhere
