To what extent should i be concerned about sickness without a spleen? i have been living life normally but online says infections are more severe. family doctor not concerned?

You should not live your life in fear without your spleen, but it is prudent to try to avoid routine infections if possible. You should get whatever vaccines your primary care doctor recommends, in addition. Good luck.
