A member asked:

Hello doctor. my daughter is one year and 5 months old. 2 weeks ago, we saw that her left breast was bigger than her right. there was no injury, massage etc. what could be the problem? is this common. what can we do? will it resolve in future?

Infants and toddlers may have residual breast enlargement from the hormonal effects of pregnancy. After the cord is cut, the removal of residual hormones stops and some may linger and produce this & effect 1 or both sides. It is possible you did not notice it earlier. Rarely germs can enter the pores of the breast & cause infection. If this is new & increasing go in now.
