A member asked:

I've been doing everything to heal proximal hamstring tendinopathy after a hamstring tear for the past 8 months but it's still painful. doc doesn't help. will i have to permanently live with the hamstring pain and never get back to previous athletism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hamstring injuries are very difficult to resolve. It doesn’t help that you probably are still experiencing a growth period. I would get another opinion from another doctor, and seek the help of a physical therapist to provide a structured program of stretching and strengthening. This will not be easy and will take time, but it can be accomplished.
