No, IBS and stool softeners do not cause vaginal bleeding. If you’re having rectal bleeding, then you have some other issue going on with your colon that needs to be evaluated. Sounds as though you need to see your primary doctor to sort out why you’re having abnormal bleeding. Good luck.

Hello. 27/m. I just had my stool results (took the test for IBS) pus cells 0-2/hpf. RBC 8-10/hpf. Ova/Cysts/Parasites/Others not seen. Occult Blood negative. Does RBC suggest bleeding? Should I be worried? (Had broccoli + salmon before test)?
