: No, IBS and stool softeners do not cause vaginal bleeding. If you’re having rectal bleeding, then you have some other issue going on with your colon that needs to be evaluated. Sounds as though you need to see your primary doctor to sort out why you’re having abnormal bleeding. Good luck.
