I'm not sure if that microscopic amount of red blood cells in your stool is enough for the occult blood test to turn positive. Generally red blood cells in the stool indicate some issues such as hemorrhoids or other upper or lower GI pathology. I'd have to ask a gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeon if red blood cells with a negative occult blood tests warrants an upper or lower GI investigatio
