Aphthous ulcer?: Canker sores also known as apthous ulcers are very common. These ulcers usually are painful for a few days up to about 10 days at most. However, keep an eye on it and if it is not completely gone in 2 weeks, you will need to see your general dentist or an oral surgeon for a definitive diagnosis. There are a lot of other possibilities, both benign and serious lesions, even if no pain.
