A member asked:

I tested positive for rectal gonorrhea. what are the odds of me contracting this 6 months ago (used a condom) versus with current partner (no condom, he slept with someone who tested positive)? signs showed up around time he told me she was positive?

Since you have a partner with known contact with another person with gonorrhea, undoubtedly he is the source of your rectal infection. The immune system usually cures gonorrhea within 2-3 months, so your exposure exposure 6 months ago probably is irrelevant. You, your current partner, and his other partner all need treatment. Good luck.
