Interaction: Family meals increase discipline, self worth, self confidence, achievement, and connection to family. Children whose families do this are less likely to be promiscuous or get into drugs. I know of multiple studies that have shown the benefits of family meals. I know of no studies that have shown any negative affects.

Family Relations: Teens do much better with close relationships to family members, you may not feel like talking or being with your family but it is truly consistent that when you are in connection to them your teen years will be better as their love, support and wisdom are needed by every teenager.
