I was prescribed a z-pack for sinus infection. i took the first dose then ate dinner, about an hour or so later i vomited my dinner up. would some of my dose have been absorbed by then?

Unfortunately, azithromycin can cause GI upset with vomiting. However, research done during the drug's development showed that if vomiting occurs more than 30 minutes after taking the drug, most of it has been absorbed. The follow-up Z-pack doses are lower (250 mg) -- hoping you won't have the same problem. Good luck.
