I flew for approx 8 hours on sat. i now have a very swollen, non-painful left leg (twice the size if the right), with very shiny skin.

Please go to ER ASAP: Some bloodwork and an ultrasound need to be done to rule out a blood clot (deep venous thrombosis dvt) in the swollen leg. It may not necessarily be red, but one-sided swelling is worrisome.
