Do melanoma causes black patches both side of the tongue? i have black patches on both side of the tongue from 6 years what it could be . i have no other symptoms rather than patches ? please answer properly i do use tobacco.?

It is very unusual to have melanoma on the tongue however the best thing is to have a doctor evaluate and probably biopsy it to tell you what it is since different things like some bacteria overgrowth on the tongue could do that and you are right it is associated with smoking in some people. There other things like Puetz Jeghers Syndrome especially if it has been in your family.
