In general, is it hospital policy how often through an admitted overnight, or two, vitals are taken? or, is it up to my treating doctor? i like to sleep as much as i can without being awoke so many times. non -surgical procedure?

Even if it is hospital policy, your doctor can order the vital signs for how often he/she wants the vital signs. If the doctor thinks the vital signs should be taken every 15 minutes, then he/she will order them that way. If the doctor thinks they can be taken less frequently, your doctor can order them less frequently. Good luck to you!
