Ive been having a recurring sore throat. got a throat culture done came positive for strep. ive been on multiple antibiotics but the sore throat wont go away. would i be wrong to suspect hiv infection?

HIV virtually never result in sore throat as the only symptom. Testing obviously is needed if at risk for HIV, but not primarily because of the sore throat.
