GGT is present in other organs in the body also. Is your alk phos truly elevated? What is the normal range at your lab? If all other liver enzymes are normal, I'd repeat the GGT. Persistent elevation of GGT is usually a sign of liver or biliary tract pathology in which case consulting a gastroenterologist would be advisable.
