Do you write prescriptions for weight loss?

This is the HT public information site.We are thousands of volunteer docs based primarily in the US who answer medical questions.We do not offer treatments. Regional medical boards require a physician/patient relationship,a retrievable record,recent exam with vital signs for prescribing.Failure to do so can lead to loss or restriction of license. It may seem minor to you but it is not.

Short answer is no. Long lasting safe weight loss is accomplished though lifestyle changes. No pill has ever been shown to be safe and efficient for weight loss and being taken for extended periods of time. A local weight loss center would be you best next step.
