What is acupotomy done by an acupunture doctor? is it a safe non invasive procedure & if so. would it help stenosis l3-4 & l4-5?

Since a scalpel is also used in addition to the acupuncture needles,I would really have to consider acuptomy a combination of acupuncture and surgery. If there's a lot of cutting involved, it's predominantly surgery and it's difficult to know how much acupuncture itself contributes to the procedure. For spinal stenosis,I favor traditional neurosurgery if I were the patient.
