I have neck pain on the back side of my neck near my back on the bones. i keep getting some sort of neck pain every month. (usually stiff neck)?

Soft tissue: At your age, the pain is most likely due to soft tissue inflammation (myofasciitis) or deconditioning or possibly early degenerative disc. If you have had symptoms > 6 weeks i would certainly recommend evaluation with a physician.
