A member asked:

I have cervical radiculopathy. would icy-hot help alleviate the pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A local ointment applied over muscles in spasm might temporarily mollify pain and stiffness, but would have little if any effect on nerve compression pain, and would only last a few hours at most. Therefore, this is a marginal solution. Consider physical therapy as a more successful approach.
