I had intercourse without protection on day 6 (march 17) of my bcp and i started taking co -amoxiclav (625mg) on day 10 (march 21) becoz of uti, 1 tab every 8hrs. i've been in marvelon for 6mon. am i safe from preg even though im taking antibiotic?

Antibiotic does not cause or block pregnancy. They can damage fetus. Go to Drugs.com and read up on it a bit. Be aware that most methods of birth control are not 100%. Surgery is.

No you are not completely safe for all methods of contraception have failure rates. Antibiotics have nothing to do with protecting against pregnancy
