Taking plavix and a statin (both have a higher risk of ttp) does this increase likelihood of developing this tragic disorder ?

Plavix very rarely has been reported to cause Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, and even Hemolytic Uremia syndrome, but there does not seem to be a relationship with statins (many other adverse reactions with these drugs however). The benefits of the combination far outweigh the risks. Discuss with the prescribing doctor.
