A member asked:

Can diverticulosis (not diverticulitis) develop quickly in matter of days or weeks? or are they developed over a course of time?

Diverticulosis typically develops over a greater period of time than days/weeks. The diet contributes to its development so eating a balanced, healthy diet is helpful. Diverticulosis itself is typically asymptomatic but if it inflames, it can be very painful-many end up in emergency rooms due to the pain level. Best of luck to you!
