I have shingles (chest) (area is covered with gauze) the blisters are not leaking. i kissed my baby on his forehead and hands. did i just give him the virus thru my kisses? he has had contact with rash, but not while blisters were present?

The only contagious material/site in shingles is the weeping from skin blisters. If that material makes it into the mouth of a vulnerable person they can get chickenpox, not shingles. This is much different than primary chickenpox where the germ can be an saliva during the breakout & spread that way.
