Trying to interpret brain mri: 1. no acute intracranial abnormality/pathologic enhancement identified. 2. multiple tiny chronic infarcts in the right cerebellum 43 yo female with some minor numbness and headaches - what are likely possibilities?

tiny chronic infarcts. infarct is ischemic injury meaning when blood supply to an organ or tissue is interrupted it results in dead tissue. in this case infarct is in cerebellum which is part of the brain primarily involved in balance and co-ordination. symptoms could be due to this but not necessarily. This warrants further workup. I suggest seeing a neurologist and having your carotids check.

Your symptoms are not correlated with the MRI findings. However, you should be seen and followed with a neurologist. Good luck.
