Generally none: Most spine surgeons would not do surgery for early degenerative cervical spondylosis, unless there is significant associated stenosis (pinched nerves). If there is significant stenosis, the most common procedure would be an anterior discectomy and fusion (done through the front of the neck).

See below: This depends on your symptoms. Since you are on quite a bit of pain meds i assume that you have significant pain. Still, it's probably too early to do surgery on mild degenerative changes. Do you have any other symptoms? Physical therapy & pain management would help. There is also a full range of cervical spinal blocks that can be done as well. Consult with your dr, a neurosurgeon or pain doctor.
