Miralax is just a material that binds to water and doesn't let the colon extract it while it travels through your gut. That makes the rest of the nearby stool remain moist, allowing your stools to soften & be easier to expel. It has a negligible effect on other meds/vitamins but as a rule I separate the time taken to spread them out. I've prescribed it for a year in a complex situation & it did ok
