A member asked:

Hi doctors! if consistent use of miralax, colace, stool softeners/laxatives does not seem to help/cure right away, is there a more invasive treatment for constipation that is used/helpful? i had an overall normal colonoscopy?

IBS treatment: You have repeatedly been asking questions on this forum about your apparent irritable bowel syndrome and its treatment that canno be answered accurately on a forum like this. As previously advised, you need to discuss your treatment witn your own doctor. However, you should know that recent research has shown that docusate (Colace) and other stool softeners do not work at all.
