Hi, amlodopine and propranolol interactions? if you are using propranolol for anxiety and amlodopine for high blood pressure. for someone with arrhythmia?should amlodopine be reduced if you start taking propranolol for anxiety? many thanks?

Both of these medications will lower blood pressure. If starting propranolol for anxiety, the amlodipine dose may need to be decreased, depending on the blood pressure readings prior to starting the second medication. The blood pressure should be monitored as the second med is begun-there are home blood pressure monitors that can be used for this purpose and the readings shared with the doctor.
